Joss Cuisine is the creation of Cecile Tang, a former Hong Kong film director renowned in the art scene. Since its founding in 1985, JOSS has been a staple in the Beverly Hills community, offering exquisite Chinese cuisine. Our original Sunset/Sierra location served the neighborhood for twenty years, known for its signature sophistication, refined dishes, and elegance. The restaurant quickly attracted cultural elites from around the world and garnered outstanding support.

Now located on South Santa Monica, our kitchen is led by Executive Chef Golo Kwokson Yu, who has been with JOSS since 1988. Chef Yu started as an apprentice to the renowned Chef Lao Ying Chieh and became Chef de Cuisine in 1993. JOSS is celebrated as one of the finest representations of Hong Kong cuisine in the West, featuring classic Chinese dishes with a contemporary flair.

With a long history of serving the Los Angeles community, JOSS is also known for hosting events and private parties. We pride ourselves on our refined hospitality, exceptional craftsmanship, and attention to detail. For us, food is an art form, meant to be shared with close family and friends.
